Hostage Calm, ex At All Costs, is a melodic hardcore band from Connecticut that. They released their Demo in 2007, and almost instantly started writing and recording a full length, Lens, which was released in 2008 on Redscroll Records. Lens is a groundbreaking melodic hardcore album, it's very technical, catchy and heavy all at once. After Lens was released, The Clam started writing a new album with a very different sound from anything they've released before. The new Self-Titled release sounds like The Smiths, if The Smiths were a punk band. Do yourself a favor and get everything, and make sure you support this band. Buy a record or a shirt or, if you get the chance, go to a show and see them live.
