Wrench In The Works - Decrease/Increase

Genre: Metalcore / Hardcore
FFO: Trap Them, Converge, Blood Has Been Shed

Decrease/Increase is a big change in sound from Wrench's previous releases. The songs are more compressed, agressive and heavy, and less melodic and spacey. I really recommend checking this band out if you haven't yet.

Blood Has Been Shed - I Dwell On Thoughts Of You

Genre: Metalcore/Hardcore/Mathcore
FFO: Overcast, 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Coalesce

This is BHBS's debut album from 1999. It's really fucking heavy, and really fucking good. BHBS was Howard, from Killswitch Engage, first band. I wish he stuck with BHBS, cause they were much better.

This was one of my favorite releases from last year. The bass on this album sounds like a fucking chainsaw.

Emmanuel 7 - Machines In Routine

Genre: Hardcore/Metalcore
FFO: Wrench In The Works, Drowning Room

Emmanuel 7 was the band that came after Groundzero, and before Wrench In The Works in the early 2000's. They changed the name of the band from Groundzero to Emmanuel 7 after 9/11. They have a lot of Metalcore influence, but a lot of this album sounds more like rock and roll. it's a cool release, definitely worth checking out.

Kids Icarus - Kids Icarus EP

Genre: Pop-Punk
FFO: Make Do And Mend, Four Year Strong(minus the cheesy breakdowns)

Kids Icarus is a new Pop Punk band from Connecticut, they just played their first show last Friday. The EP has guest spots from James Carroll(Make Do And Mend), Ryan White(Call It Arson, Canvas), and Jay Aust(Ambitions, With Honor). Check them out, they're actually a really good pop punk band.
