Dagwood - Paradise

Facebook

Genre: Pop Punk
FFO: Osker, Seaweed, The Ramones

This album was just released yesterday by the band for free. I've already listened to it a few times through, and I haven't even had it for a full 24 hours. Dagwood always does some unexpected shit. They played one of their first shows with Alkaline Trio at Toads place, and just recently played with Badfish, a Sublime tribute band. They have a podcast called Mindplow that's filled with prank phone calls, skits, new songs from them, and interviews with people. They interviewed Chris from Hostage Calm in the first podcast. They also have a Public Access show coming out soon, and I can't even imagine how weird that's going to be. Anyways, back to the album, it's really good and catchy, and doesn't have any random pop punk mosh parts. Everyone should check this out.

Make Do And Mend - Live Acoustic Set 10/3/10

Facebook

Genre: Pop Punk/Acoustic
FFO: Hot Water Music, Polar Bear Club

According to James in the recording, this was the first time the band played live acoustically. I usually like when bands do some acoustic things, but I was kinda iffy when I heard MDAM were planning on releasing an acoustic EP. But the track they have online for the Acoustic EP sounds pretty tight, so I decided to look into it some more. While I was looking for more info, I saw a couple youtube videos of them performing this set in someone's apartment, thought it sounded pretty neat, and ripped the audio. Check this out.

Inside Out - No Spiritual Surrender

Genre: Hardcore/Punk
FFO: Burn, Judge

I've been listening to this record a lot lately, so I figured I'd post it on here. Inside Out was Zach De La Rocha's band before going on to start Rage Against The Machine. The band also featured members of Shelter, 108, Chain Of Strength, Burn, Gorilla Biscuits, and a few other notable bands. No spiritual Surrender was the band's only release, and was one of the earlier Rev releases. The band had material written for a new record, but broke up shortly after Vic DiCara left the band. Zach went on to start Rage Against The Machine.
